The research group »Ancient Music« dedicates itself to the study of music as a cultural factor that encompassed all areas of life in ancient society and also formed an ubiquitous background of ancient poetry, applying the perspectives of both archeomusicology and music archeology, including the reconstruction of instruments and playing techniques, and developing novel digital methods.
