The Ephesos excavation is managed by the Austrian Archaeological Institute (OeAI). We are happy to provide our scientific expertise for television and film productions and to arrange suitable interview partners. It is also possible that a member of the Ephesos excavation team accompanies your shooting and supports you in the selection of the best locations as well as in organizational matters.
For commercially exploited films, the OeAI charges for this effort. The amount benefits the research in Ephesos.
The excavation season usually takes place from the beginning of May to the end of October. During this time, the excavation team is on site. If an interview partner is needed outside of the season, and an OeAI staff member has to travel to Ephesos for this purpose, these travel expenses will be charged in full.
