Research Unit
Digital Historiography and Editions
This research unit deals with the development and application of digital methods in historical scholarship. The aim is to document and publish historical sources that are particularly important for the history of Austria, the Habsburg Empire and the Balkan region, developing new digital infrastructures and computer-assisted techniques for the presentation and more advanced use of source material. Particular emphasis is placed on open access and sustainability; the research findings are intended for a broader public and access will be permanent. A special focus is on the publication of source editions. An important cooperation partner is the ACDH-CH.
