Ines Peper is a research associate in the research unit History of the Habsburg Monarchy. Since 2021 she is working on the projects “Family Matters. Female Dynastic Agency in the Correspondence of Empress Eleonora Magdalena of Pfalz-Neuburg (1655-1720)” (conducted by Katrin Keller) and “'Tout Vienne me riait'. Family and court relations in the memoirs of Countess Louise Charlotte von Schwerin (1684−1732)” (conducted by Ines Peper), both supported by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF).

Brief Biography


Studied History and Art History at the universities of Vienna and Graz, PhD in History from the University of Graz. Research associate with the START-project „Monastische Aufklärung und die benediktinische Gelehrtenrepublik“ and the FWF-project Projekt „Benedictines, State Reform and the Church in Austria, 1720-40“ (both conducted by Thomas Wallnig at the University of Vienna), grant by the Gerda-Henkel-Stiftung for research on “Das ideale Dorf gründen. Zur Vorgeschichte des Ökodorfs (1613 – 1939)”, research associate with the research project „Die Kaiserin schreibt“ (funded by the City of Vienna, conducted by Katrin Keller at the IHB). Currently research associate with the FWF-projects “Family Matters. Female Dynastic Agency in the Correspondence of Empress Eleonora Magdalena of Pfalz-Neuburg (1655-1720)” (conducted by Katrin Keller) and “'Tout Vienne me riait'. Family and court relations in the memoirs of Countess Louise Charlotte von Schwerin (1684−1732)“ (conducted by Ines Peper).
