The Austrian Media Corpus (amc) is a vast text collection of journalistic prose covering almost the entire Austrian media landscape of the past decades. It is a result of a public-private cooperation between the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the Austrian Press Agency (APA), dating back to 2012. The corpus is composed a wide range of journalistic texts including newspapers, magazines, press releases, transcribed television interviews, news stories from television. New articles are being added regularly, currently the corpus contains more than 50 million texts, constituting more than 12.6 billion tokens. The texts have been furnished with elaborate metadata and basic linguistic markup. Currently, this unique language resource is primarily used in linguistically and lexicographically oriented projects.
