European Cloud for Heritage OpEn Science

Involved as an affiliated entity of DARIAH, the ACDH has joined forces with 50 other institutions across Europe for the European Cloud for Heritage OpEn Science (ECHOES) project which aims to “set up the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH), a shared platform designed to facilitate collaboration among heritage professionals and researchers, enabling them to modernise their workflows and processes. This platform will offer access to data, cutting-edge scientific and training resources, and advanced digital tools, all developed collaboratively by the heritage community to meet their specific requirements. ECHOES will integrate the currently fragmented communities within the Cultural Heritage (CH) sector, bringing together diverse actors from various fields and disciplines into a cohesive community focused on the Digital Commons.

ECHOES is lead by the Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) answering the HORIZON-CL2-2023-HERITAGE-ECCCH-01 call.

The ACDH team is working closely with DARIAH on the development of the central Cloud environment (WP6) and the Vertical Applications (WP8). These leading solutions demonstrate the integration with the cloud and the resulting benefits for stakeholders
