We cordially invite you to cooperate!

As the centre of excellence for digital research, the ACDH-CH is in close partnership with many different partners from within and beyond the Austrian Academy of Sciences. In these cooperations, the institute often plays a major role in the conception and implementation of DH aspects within research projects.

For a successful partnership, the most important guidelines for project inquiries are summarized here. Transparent communication is important to us, as we have been receiving and processing more and more requests in the last years. In addition, this offers a small insight into the portfolio of ACDH-CH or may inspire new ideas within the many cooperation opportunities.

Even though the ACDH-CH is a centre of competence for all kinds of research in DH and (digitally oriented) cultural heritage studies, we have identified and invested in specific strengths and competencies that we consider our main research interests. Especially relevant to us is...

  • research in the humanities with digital approaches to text and language, especially digital editions, lexicography, digital linguistics as well as prosopography and music studies,
  • the development of new research areas in the humanities for the development of customized digital methods and technologies, with the creation of respective networks and communities to strengthen the ties between digitally oriented disciplines in the humanities,
  • the digital representation of (humanistic) knowledge,
  • DH-relevant services and technologies, especially with regards to archiving, text technologies, digital editions, NLP, etc.,
  • the vast field of the digitization of analogue sources,
  • as well as the multimodal transfer of specialized DH know-how to researchers in the general humanities and arts.

To ensure adequate support of projects, it is crucial for the ACDH-CH to be involved right from the planning phase.
