Spitz an der Donau is one of the most prominent rural parishes in Lower Austria, boasting a musical tradition spanning centuries. Its historical music archive comprises around 800 works, primarily consisting of copies of compositions by Johann Georg Albrechtsberger, Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph and Michael Haydn, Wolfgang Amadé Mozart, Antonio Salieri, and others. In the course of the project, the entire historical music archive was digitized. The project has now been completed, and the data set will no longer be updated.

The image database is based on IIIF technology, and its technical implementation was conducted in collaboration with the DHRI research unit. Although the collection, which contains around 40,000 image files, is currently not available, it is anticipated to be integrated into the ARCHE repository in the near future.
