Between 2008 and 2015, the holdings of the collections of manuscripts and early prints, as well as the music collection of the Austrian National Library in Vienna were catalogued. Detailed information is available through separately searchable databases. The main database, which holds 367 data sets and around 14,500 images, features notated medieval liturgical and secular sources, including monophonic, simple polyphonic, and polyphonic chants. It includes complete codices and manuscript fragments with musical notation, supplemented by downloadable PDF files containing detailed descriptions of the full manuscripts. A separate fragment database catalogs 675 fascicles and around 2,000 images of fragmentary sources.

The websites were developed using HTML, JavaScript, and PHP, with some of the text data stored in a MySQL database.
