Brahms-online offers comprehensive information about the reception of Brahms in Vienna from 1862 to 1902, drawing on mentions of the composer in twelve Viennese newspapers and magazines. The application allows users to search by various criteria, providing fresh insights into Brahms, his works, and his time in Vienna.

The database facilitates research on compositions, performances, venues, and persons, and links directly to the digital copies available through the newspapers online portal ANNO of the Austrian National Library. Implemented using the DSE Static Cookie Cutter framework developed at the ACDH, the platform is based on XML data encoded according to the Music Encoding Initiative (MEI) vocabulary.
