ABaC:us – Austrian Baroque Corpus is a structured collection of digital full texts from the Baroque period, which has been compiled and researched at the Austrian Academy of Sciences since 2010. The historical texts made available in ABaC:us date from the period from 1680 to 1710 and give evidence of a rich and widespread branch of literature dealing with the preparation for death. All the texts contained in the collection are connected with the well-known Augustinian preacher and writer Abraham a Sancta Clara (1644-1709, actually Johann Ulrich Megerle). In addition to the facsimiles of the first editions, the searchable full texts are available in XML-TEI format (version P5) including structural, semantic and linguistic annotations (with tokenisation, PoS tagging and lemmatisation) as well as several indexes (e.g. names of persons and places).
