... is an Academy Scientist at the research unit Linguistics. He focuses on (lexical) variation and change of the German language in Austria in the context of the long-term project Language Dynamics in Austria (DynAT) using various corpora at the ACDH (e.g., Austrian Media Corpus, SFB “German in Austria” Corpus). Amongst other, he deals with the application of methods of natural language processing for lexical analyses. In addition, he is involved in the development of a visualization tool for corpus requests (CorpSum). He acts as chair of the “Austrian Duden committee” and is concerned with expanding lexicographic cooperations. He also is co-organizing the Young Researchers Network of the ACDH. 

Prior to his work at the ACDH, he was project staff at the SFB German in Austria. Variation - Contact - Perception (FWF F060, project part 08: Standard varieties from the perspective of perceptual variationist linguistics) and received his doctoral degree in German Philology from the University of Vienna.
