…studied musicology at the University of Vienna, graduating with a Master’s degree cum laude in 2024. During his studies, he specialised in silent film music research. He worked as a music theory tutor at the University of Vienna and gained further experience through musicological internships at the radio station Ö1 and the Mainz-based publishing house Schott Music. He presently also works for the International Gustav Mahler Society.

At the ACDH, Kolja Porschke is part of the Department of Musicology. He is currently working on the project The Copyist William Kupfer between Johannes Brahms and Guido Adler and joined the Vienna Research Group of the Johannes Brahms Complete Edition in 2026.
