... studied Slavic Studies (Russian and Ukrainian) and German Studies in Moscow and Vienna, as well as Digital Humanities at the University of Graz.

She is currently working on the AAD - Auden in Austria Digital project, helping to make the archival materials of British-American poet W. H. Auden available online. She is part of the Literary & Print Culture Studies research unit at the ACDH.

Previously, Angelika Hechtl was part of the WIBARAB project team, where she was responsible for the Digital Humanities component of the project, including coding and language modeling of the data. She has also been involved in projects of the former Austrian Corpora and Editions working group, such as Schaubühne and the Notes on Dritte Walpurgisnacht. Her dissertation addresses the topic "Russian as a lingua franca of Business Communication in Central Asia."
