The aim of the network is to provide a common platform for all active large-scale dialect dictionaries in German-speaking countries to exchange information and at the same time provide information on the individual workplaces. The following dictionaries are part of the network:

• Wörterbuch der historischen bairischen Mundarten in Österreich und Südtirol

Network meetings are held at regular intervals to provide a forum for exchanging information on specific lexicographical work (including text technology work on databases):

• LexikoNet I (2017): Organized by the Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria (WBÖ) at the ACDH-ÖAW, Vienna
• LexikoNet II (2018): Organized by the Sudeten German Dictionary, Gießen
• LexikoNet III (2021): Organized by the Franconian Dictionary, Erlangen
• LexikoNet IV (2024): Organized by the Dictionary of Hungarian German Dialects, Budapest and the Dictionary of Bavarian Dialects in Austria, Vienna
• LexikoNet V (2027): Organized by the Hessen-Nassau Dictionary, Marburg

There is a mailing list of the network through which announcements on relevant topics (such as conferences, publications etc.) are sent: lexikonet(at)lists.oeaw.ac.at
