
... studied musicology, media studies and Italian studies at the Humboldt University of Berlin, and earned her doctoral degree at the Cologne University of Music and Dance in 2019. Her dissertation was supported by the Max Weber Foundation through Gerald D. Feldman travel grants and by scholarships at Centro Tedesco di Studi Veneziani in Venice. Her research interests mainly focus on nineteenth-century music and cultural history.
She worked as a researcher and teaching assistant at the Musicology Seminar of the University of Paderborn and the University of Music Detmold from 2015 to 2019. In 2023/24, a PostDoc fellowship took her to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (mdw). There, she is currently leading the FWF stand-alone project Max Kalbeck: Networking Practices in Vienna 1900, at the Department of Musicology and Performance Studies.
At the ACDH, Henrike Rost is part of the Department of Musicology. Since February 2025, she works for the Vienna office of the New Schubert Edition as a member of the Schubert-digital team.
