... is part of the research unit DH Research & Infrastructure which she joined originally in 2019. She is involved in editorial work and the organisation of knowledge transfer and public engagement activities for both academic and non-academic audiences.

Within the ERICs and Education team Maria works as a training and communication officer. She coordinates our internship programme, assists in maintaining the ACDH website and supports on-site and hybrid events, such as the Lectures and Tool Galleries. Within the DARIAH ERIC team she serves as a community editor for DARIAH-Campus, a discovery framework and hosting platform for the Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities (DARIAH) learning resources. From 2023 to 2024 Maria was part of the knowledge transfer and training work package in the project DiTAH (Digital Transformation of the Austrian Humanities), which established and promoted the use of digital tools and methods in humanities research and education in Austria. Within the project Maria was involoved in the development of HowTo, which became a self-study knowledge hub for digital tools and methods that are developed and/or used at the ACDH. Since 2025 Maria is part of the training work package in the project ARTEMIS (Applying Reactive Twins to Enhance Monument Information Systems), which aims to create a digital infrastructure that supports the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage artefacts with the help of 3D visualisation technologies.
 
Maria studied English and American Studies at the University of Vienna and the University of Edinburgh. She completed her studies with a master’s thesis tackling the different scopes of literary communication. Before joining the ACDH she worked as a student exchange coordinator at the International Office of the University of Vienna.
