... has studied Musicology at the University of Vienna and Digital Humanities at the Institute Centre for Information Modelling of the University of Graz. From 2017 to 2019 he was part of the projects Digital Music Analysis Using the Techniques of the Music Encoding Initiative (MEI): The Case of Anton Bruckner’s Composition Studies and Anton Bruckner: A Digital Catalog of Works.

At the ACDH, Paul Gulewycz is part of the Department of Musicology, where he worked as part of the project Digitization, Recognition and Automated Clustering of Watermarks in the Music Manuscripts of Franz Schubert (DRACMarkS) from 2021 to 2024. From 2024 to 2025, he joined the project The “Winterreise” in Infrared: Digitization and Indexing of the Watermarks in Franz Schubert’s Music Manuscripts in the Archive of the Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Vienna and is currently working in the projects Austrian Encyclopedia of Music (oeml) and Schubert meets AI: AI-Supported Conversion of Semi-Structured Data into MEI Structures Based on the New Schubert Edition.
