Ultra fast calorimeter Mettler Toledo FLASH DSC 2+.
The Mettler Toledo FLASH DSC 2+ is a MEMS-chip based calorimeter for very small sample dimensions (about 50 ng to 1µg) allowing for heating/cooling rates in the order of 100.000 K/s (heating) and 50.000 K/s (cooling). It is equipped with an intracooler allowing for measurements in temperature ranges from -100 °C up to either 450°C or 1000 °C. The maximum temperature depends on the type of MEMS chips used. The instrument allows to determine time temperature transition (TTT) data of metallic alloys within several seconds. The high cooling and heating rate information is used to investigate the phase formation in metastable polymers and metals. Argon (Ar) is used as protective gas.

Heat flux differential scanning calorimeter Mettler Toledo DSC 3+.
The Mettler Toledo DSC 3+ is a high precision heat flux differential calorimeter. The furnace is equipped with a low temp. (-150 °C) facility allows measurements up to 750 °C with heating ranges up to 150 K/min. It is mainly used for high precision calorimetric measurements such as the relaxation of metallic glasses or the annihilation of dislocation and heat capacity measurements and precise measurements of the glass transition temperature. It is equipped with a dynamic DSC option (TOPEM®) allowing to separate phenomena with different kinetics. Argon (Ar) is used as protective gas.

Heat flux differential scanning calorimeter Netzsch DSC 404 F1. Pegasus
(RT to 1650 °C)
The Netzsch DSC 404 F1. Pegasus is a high temperature heat flux differential calorimeter. The PtRh furnace can reach temperatures ranging from room temperature up to1650 °C with heating ranges up to 50 K/min. It is mainly used to determine transformation enthalpies and characterize the melting points of metastable alloys. In addition to a DSC-sensor also a DTA-sensor is available allowing to investigate larger sample volumes. Argon (Ar) is used as protective gas.
