The Schenk Hydropulser is capable of fatigue and quasi static experiments. The device is often used for the preparation of test samples for fracture mechanics experiments in order to induce the fatigue pre-cracks. Even though the load frame is from the early nineties of the last century the control unit has been modernized by MTS so that the test rig is still state of the art.
