Improving Sustainability through Usability

Digital sustainability and, in particular, sustainability of software and services is a topic that is of growing interest in the Digital Humanities. While there are many aspects of sustainability when it comes to software, such as extensibility, interoperability, maintainability, portability, reusability, scalability, and usability, the DHCR Sustain project will focus on the aspect of usability. In this project, we will improve the sustainability of the DH Course Registry, which is a platform showcasing DH courses, through usability enhancements.

Led by the ACDH, this project is supported by a grant from the DARIAH Theme Funding 2018/2019. Its results will provide a more user-friendly platform and an API in order to directly use the data from the DH Course Registry for further research.
