Parliamentary records are an interesting resource for various fields in the humanities and social sciences, such as linguistics, political science, history, as well as for fields in the information sciences such as NLP or information retrieval.

The ParlAT corpus contains the Austrian parliamentary records of the National Chamber ("Nationalrat") - one of the two chambers of the Austrian parliament. At the moment the ParlAT corpus covers the parliamentary records from the XXth to the XXVth legislative period (1996 – 2017). The legislative period that has started in November 2017 is not yet included.

At this point, the corpus contains over 950 documents and over 75 000 000 tokens. However, the ParlAT corpus is planned as a monitor corpus and new texts will be added over time.
