Hildegard Schmoller studied history and political sciences at the University of Vienna and the Charles University in Prague. Her PhD dissertation ‘Münchner Abkommen als tschechischer Gedächtnisort’ received three awards. She has been a freelance historian since 2011. In 2015, she joined the Institute of Modern and Contemporary History at the Austrian Academy of Sciences as a researcher.
Period: modern history and contemporary history focusing on the 20th century.
