Kurzbiografie
Studium der Ägyptologie und der Klassischen Archäologie an der Universität Wien, Magisterium 2005, Doktorat 2010. Mitarbeiter im Spezialforschungsbereich SCIEM 2000 an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften von 2006 bis 2009, Mitarbeiter an der Orient-Abteilung des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts in Amman (Jordanien) und Berlin von 2009 bis 2013, Postdoktorat am Oriental Institute der University of Chicago von 2013 bis 2015, APART-Stipendiat an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften von 2015 bis 2017. START-Preis des Wissenschaftsfonds (FWF) 2016 für das Projekt „Tracing Transformations in the southern Levant from collapse to consolidation in the mid-second millennium BC“. Forschungsaufenthalte am Cotsen Institute of Archaeology der University of California, Los Angeles, an der Hebräischen Universität Jerusalem, dem Albright Institute of Archaeological Research in Jerusalem. Lehrtätigkeit am Institut für Ägyptologie, am Institut für Alttestamentliche Wissenschaft und Biblische Archäologie sowie am Institut für Orientalistik der Universität Wien. Mitglied im Editorial Board der Zeitschrift Bulletin of the American Schools of Oriental Research und Mitherausgeber der Reihe Archaeology of Egypt, Sudan and the Levant. Seit 2017 Grabungsleiter Tel Lachisch, Israel (gemeinsam mit Katharina Streit).
