...earned her PhD in archaeology at the University of Ljubljana in 2019. Her research focused on the use of image-based 3D models as tools for archaeological analysis and interpretation. She examined if these digital surface models offer an – as always assumed – added value in terms of archaeological knowledge gaining. This hypothesis was tested on shepherd shelters built in the dry-stone technique during the 19th and beginning of 20th century in the Kras region (Slovenia).
Over the last years, she worked on several archaeological 3D documentation projects. At the same time, she developed an interest in data management and curation while working on the go!digital Digitizing Early Farming Cultures project (DEFC) at the Institute for Oriental and European Archaeology (OREA), and on the Interreg Iron-Age-Danube project at the University of Vienna. In the framework of both projects, she was involved in creating the corresponding databases and vocabularies.
At the ACDH-CH, she is responsible for data curation for ARCHE – A Resource Centre for Humanities Related Research in Austria.
