ESA's JUICE (JUpiter ICy moons Explorer) mission will carry a total of ten scientific experiments to study the gas giant Jupiter and three of its largest moons, Ganymede, Callisto and Europa. It was launched on 14 April 2023 by Ariane 5 and will arrive at Jupiter in 2031, where it will spend at least three years making detailed observations of the biggest planet in the solar system and its icy moons.

IWF Graz participated in the J-MAG magnetometer development with MAGSCA, calibrated the antennas of the radio wave instrument (RPWI), and is a member in the team of the Particle Environment Package (PEP).
