Tianwen-1 is a Chinese Mars orbiter, lander, and rover mission, wich was launched on 23 July 2020.
The orbiter will reach the Martian atmosphere after a travel time of approximately seven months. It will then conduct a comprehensive remote sensing of the Red Planet, using seven scientific instruments.
The rover, weighing around 200 kg, will be powered by solar panels. It will carry additional six instruments to probe the ground with radar, perform chemical analyses on the soil, and look for biomolecules and biosignatures.
IWF has contributed to the magnetometer aboard the orbiter and helped with the calibration of the flight instrument.
