Academic Background


Ľuboš Hládek studied Artificial Intelligence at the Technical University of Košice, Slovakia and completed his doctoral degree on the topic: ‘Learning auditory distance perception: experimental studies and computational models‘ in the laboratory of Norbert Kopčo at the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia. Later, Ľuboš joined the Institute of Hearing Research – Scottish Section at the University of Nottingham for research on speech perception and gaze-steered hearing aids. After three years in Glasgow, he joined the Audio Information Processing group at the Technical University of Munich for research on speech perception and behavior in complex and virtual acoustic environments.  

Current Research


Ľuboš is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow investigating attention, cognitive fatigue, and listening effort in face-to-face communication in noisy environments. He joined the ARI in April 2024 working on project RELCOM.
