The Anton Bruckner online encyclopaedia (ABLO) is an extension and update of the reference work Anton Bruckner. Ein Handbuch, edited by Uwe Harten in 1996. The encyclopaedia, compiled with the help of numerous international experts, covers people, places, technical terms and all of Bruckner's works in over 1,300 entries with numerous illustrations and musical examples. In the “reception” section, it has been possible for the first time to publish geographically wide-ranging texts thanks to foreign contributors.

Christian K. Fastl took over the project management in 2016, sharing the editing of the encyclopaedia with Andrea Harrandt. The data working group of the Austrian Centre for Digital Humanities and Cultural Heritage, headed by Daniel Schopper, was responsible for the technical implementation from the outset. The encyclopaedia, which was essentially completed at the beginning of 2022, will be updated selectively.
