Kurzbiografie
Studium der Ur- und Frühgeschichte an der Universität Wien, Abschluss mit Magister 2005. Doktoratsstudium in Wien mit Schwerpunkt auf naturwissenschaftlichen Methoden für Gesteinsanalytik, Promotionsabschluss 2013 mit der Dissertation »Characterisation of Middle European Chert Sources: A Multi Layered Approach to Analysis«. 2005–2007 Grabungsleiter der Firma AS-Archäologieservice, 2007–2012 mit Unterbrechungen wissenschaftlicher Angestellter an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, 2012–2016 Gastforscher und ab 2017 wissenschaftlicher Angestellter am OREA-Institut als Rohmaterialanalytiker. Seit 2011 Lehrbeauftragter am Institut für Urgeschichte und Historische Archäologie der Universität Wien, 2016 zusätzlich an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz. Beteiligt an zahlreichen internationalen Forschungsprojekten für Provenienzanalytik von SiO2-Gesteinen in archäologischem Kontext; Projektleiter der Forschungen zum neolithischen Hornsteinabbau im Becken von Rein in der Steiermark; seit 2021 Koordinator der Einheit Archaeological Sciences.
