... studied development studies at the University of Vienna and received a bachelor of arts degree. Continuing with historical studies at the University of Vienna the master’s degree program he enrolled had a focus on digital humanities and global history. His master thesis, with the title “A global perspective: Singapore migration and labour recruitment networks“, applied several digital methods. Among them GIS for mapping migration and statistical analysis with empirical census data. The master’s program was concluded by receiving a master of arts degree in early 2021.
During the summer of 2020 he interned at the ACDH-CH where he worked on Semantic Web Topics creating RDF metadata for various datasets. Since November 2020 he is part of the research unit DH Research&Infrastructure. As Research Data Scientist he collaborated in several concluded projects and continues to be a part in ongoing projects aiming to publish a Digital Scholarly Edition. As data curator for the online archive ‘ARCHE - A Resource Centre for Humanities Related Research in Austria’ he works with state of art open source practices in research data digitization and metadata creation. Next to projects he is engaging in research for digital methods in the field of machine learning.
