Ljiljana Radonić is a political scientist at the Institute of Culture Studies and Theatre History of the OeAW.
Project title: Globalized Memorial Museums. Exhibiting Atrocities in the Era of Claims for Moral Universals

Is there a globalized remembrance? And what role do museums play in this? Ljiljana Radonić pursues these questions. The political scientist would like to use a comparative analysis of museums on several continents to find out which norms and trends prevail in remembrance cultures. With the ERC funding, she will examine both museums dedicated to commemorating World War II and sites of remembrance of the genocides of the 1990s, such as in Rwanda and the former Yugoslavia.
