The archive has preserved records on the history and research of the OeAW since its foundation in 1847. The materials are made available to researchers and interested users in accordance with the terms ruling the protection of intellectual property.

Our holdings can only be used in our reading hall. This is equipped with a reader printer for evaluating microfiche and microfilms as well as a multifunctional scanner. WLAN access and sockets for using your own devices are also available. Further information on use can be found here:
