European Commission publishes "Rule of Law"-Report
In its first "Rule of Law"-Report, the Commission states that "Austria allocates relatively high levels of state advertising to media companies, and concerns were raised over potential political influence over such allocation, in the absence of rules on its fair distribution". CMC contributed to the report with its expertise.

Successful IMEC conference in Klagenfurt
From November 6 to 8, 2019 the 4th conference of the Interdisciplinary Media Ethics Center (IMEC) was hosted by the University of Klagenfurt. In two keynotes and five panels the participants explored the relationship of ethics and law in the mediatized world. At the end of the event, the Interdisciplinary Media Ethics Center (IMEC) was founded as a registered society.

A recent CMC-project was concerned with agenda setting, conversation strategies and media logic in the political talk format “ORF Sommergespräche” between 1981 and 2016. Project staff Andreas Riedl talked about the main findings in “Zeit im Bild” and “Mittag in Österreich” on ORF2.
