Biography

Sebastian Wenmakers earned his master’s degree (MA) in Spatial Research and Spatial Planning in 2025 and his bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Geography in 2022 from the University of Vienna. His interests lie primarily in the sustainable transformation of cities, cityregions, and mobility. As part of the FFG-funded SINA research project, he is responsible for the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of a PPGIS survey focused on local recreation and leisure mobility, with a gross sample size of 28,000 participants. He was also jointly responsible for the PPGIS study in the CURB project, which covered topics such as multiple crises, work-related mobility, and green and blue infrastructure.
