Changing Alps – Multiple conflicts between production, protection, and restoration

For the fifth call of the ESS Program, research projects focused on sustainable protection and restoration of natural structures and processes in the Alps are invited to apply under the title "Changing Alps – Multiple Conflicts between Production, Protection, and Restoration."         
A key requirement for the projects, which may run for up to three years, is the formation of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary project teams. These teams must include project leaders from at least two distinct fields, such as social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, or technical disciplines. Additionally, it is mandatory to involve at least one stakeholder group or institutional stakeholder.
The projects can receive funding ranging from EUR 300,000 to EUR 500,000. The call is open from October 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025. All essential information and documents can be found in the call text, and the program management is available for any further inquiries.
