Works Council

The OeAW Works Council represents the concerns and key interests of employees at the Academy. It is committed to solidarity, co-determination and fairness within the organisation, transparent decision-making processes, a gender-sensitive approach, and cultural diversity.

Employees can turn to the Works Council with a wide range of labour law issues – from working time regulations and business trips to protection against dismissal. It is also a point of contact for work-related psychological stress and supports the OeAW’s occupational health team. Last but not least, the Works Council manages the health and social fund and coordinates company outings as well as a varied cultural programme, including joint visits to exhibitions, and sporting activities.
