From innovative therapeutic approaches to skin cancer, modern treatment methods for inflammatory skin diseases to the biological mechanisms of skin aging, SKINdeep offers an international platform for the latest research findings. As the first scientific journal of its kind in Austria, the magazine publishes original articles, review articles, letters to the editor, case reports, and perspectives.

Global Visibility for Dermatological Research

SKINdeep is designed as an English-language open-access journal that adheres to the highest scientific standards while ensuring rapid publication. The digital platform thus supports researchers in making their findings accessible worldwide. In addition to an international scientific community, the journal is also aimed at dermatologists in Austria.

The journal is produced in collaboration with SKINnovations LLC, a subsidiary of the Austrian Society for Dermatology and Venereology. SKINinnovations LLC is responsible for the publication process and ensures links to the scientific community. Continuous publication will enable clinical and scientific knowledge to be kept up to date. Around 40 scientific articles per year are planned.

Submission of Scientific Articles Now Open

According to the editors, Austria enjoys an excellent international reputation in clinical and experimental dermatovenereology. This is also reflected in the high-caliber editorial board, consisting of Austrian dermatologists Johann W. Bauer (Paracelsus University Salzburg), Georg Stingl (MedUni Vienna and OeAW) and Peter Wolf (MedUni Graz), as well as managing editor Klaus Mickus (Berkeley). Authors can now submit manuscripts and contribute to the further development of dermatological research in Austria and worldwide. The first issue was published at the beginning of April: https://skindeep.skinonline.org/
