The “2nd Joint Science Conference” held by OeAW and German National Academy Leopoldina publishes recommendations for the improvement of science and research in the Southern European region. Key recommendations include the strengthening of university autonomy, the creation of national autonomous research funding institutions and the establishment of National Science Advisory Councils.
