Making bone grow with vibration

Gentle vibrations stimulate bone growth and density. Swiss biomechanic expert Ralph Müller investigates in his laboratory at ETH Zurich why and how the skeleton reacts to these signals. Understanding this mechanism would offer new treatment for osteoporosis, explained Müller at the OeAW festive hall drawing the Victor Kaplan Lectures to a close.
