JUNK-DNA IS NO JUNK

Until a few years ago, vast tracts of the human genome appeared useless. A new study performed by OeAW`s CeMM - Research Center for Molecular Medecine shows that these long non-coding RNA genes play an important role in the understanding of diseases and human individuality. The study was published recently in the journal “Genome Biology”.
