Minisymposium
Keynote lecture with keynote speeches and subsequent panel discussion on the practice of balancing interests in biodiversity-relevant projects in the area of conflict between renewable energy, agriculture, forestry and water management and nature conservation. The aim is to develop fair criteria for the future and to reflect on the question of the design of political decision-making processes at various levels. The starting points are the development of the Austrian Biodiversity Strategy as a participatory process, what can be learnt from it and what this means for the implementation of the CBD's Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) in Austria. The symposium is to take place shortly before or during the planned 16th Conference of the Parties to the CBD.
