Seminar: COPHYLAB - Comet Physics Laboratory
As Rosetta's success provided a plethora of data along with many new questions on cometary activity, a new generation of laboratory experiments was necessary to deliver answers. To address this challenge, Graz together with Braunschweig and Bern founded the currently largest experimental research campaign dedicated to cometary research. By complementing experiments with numerical simulations, Cophylab is aiming to improve current models of cometary processes and define a new standard for a cometary analogue material.
