Natalie Stauder studied evolutionary anthropology at the University of Vienna. During her studies, she specialized in human behavior, environmental awareness, and sustainability. Since March 2026, she has been working at the Institute for Technology Assessment on the NanoTrust-Beyond project, which focuses on risk governance for nanomaterials and advanced materials.
Natalie Stauder earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a concentration in anthropology from the University of Vienna.
In 2024, she completed her master’s degree in evolutionary anthropology at the University of Vienna. She specialized in environmental awareness and sustainable practices, with a particular focus on statistical data analysis. In her master’s thesis, she examined the use of outdoor heaters in Vienna’s restaurant industry, their use by guests, and the connection to climate change.
As early as 2019, Natalie Stauder participated in the ITA project “Quality of life in Vienna",” which examined independent aging at home and its connection to quality of life. Building on her master’s thesis, she collaborated on another ITA project titled “Heated Outdoor Seating,” in which various experts shared their assessments of outdoor heating. Subsequently, potential approaches were discussed and evaluated with experts and representatives of the City of Vienna during a roundtable discussion.
