Barbara Saringer-Bory joined the ITA in 2019 as a project manager.

Education

She studied regional planning at the Technical University in Vienna (1992-1998) and attained further skills in project management and workshop hosting.

Experience

Barbara Saringer-Bory started her professional experience 1999 in an architects’ office in Rotterdam (NL). Back in Vienna she managed regional development projects funded by the EU initiative INTERREG (2001-2006). In 2007 she managed real estate development projects in Rumania and Austria.

From 2008 to 2016 she was project- and dissemination manager of the EU FP7 project “Sustainable Urban Metabolism” as well as project leader of some BMVIT and KLIEN funded Smart City projects. She joined the ÖAW’s Grant Service in 2016, providing support to researchers with regard to the planning, development and submission of third-party funded research projects.

Since September 2019 she supports the researchers at the ITA from the moment of application to the very end of their project.
