»Complex Realities. Medieval Pottery Contexts in the Eastern Mediterranean (7th-15th c. CE)«

This Workshop aims at bringing together colleagues working on pottery contexts from various sites of the Eastern Mediterranean and especially the Aegean. The goal is to exchange knowledge and information on contexts of pottery presented in toto. We hope that such a presentation of data will go towards fostering a broader and indepth understanding of the circulation of pottery and its specificities through the medieval centuries. In this way, ceramics may indeed constitute safe markers in our efforts to connect to people and communities of the past, as we reach out to past complex realities.
