Registration
Since its start the Microsymposium has been a registration fee-free event and we have always hoped to maintain this. However, due to overall rising costs and increasing numbers of participants, we now have to change this and introduce a modest registration fee of 100 EUR [academy] / 300 EUR [industry].
This symposium is about connecting the community and we want to make sure that everyone can attend. Therefore, we are also offering registration fee waivers and travel grants to financially support young scientists attending the Microsymposium.
TRAVEL GRANTS AND REGISTRATION FEE WAIVERS
In order to apply for a registration fee waiver, the applicant must be a young scientist of any nationality. In the registration process, please apply by ticking the box at “I want to apply for a registration fee waiver.” There you need to submit a short statement justifying the reasons for applying for a waiver (latest by April 19, 2023)
Travel grants are allocated exclusively to PhD students or postdocs on the basis of the quality of the abstract submitted. PhD students and postdocs who are selected to give their presentation at the Microsymposium will receive a travel grant of 300,- EUR [Europe] / 1000,- EUR [worldwide].
