Cobb Foundation Travel Grant

To apply for a travel award of $800 USD from the Cobb Foundation of the Society of Nematologists (Society of Nematologists - Cobb Foundation), applicants must:”

1) a cover letter [max. 1 page] including a description of their thesis research, achievements thus far, and indication of whether they are a member of the Society of Nematologists or any other member organization of the International Federation of Nematology Societies (Membership – International Federation of Nematology Societies | IFNS).

2) an abstract for their meeting presentation [max. 200 words],

3) a confirmation of student status from their university.

EVOWORM Grants 

TRAVEL GRANTS  
Early career researchers can apply for a grant to cover travel and accommodation costs to participate in this meeting. Attendees travelling within Europe can apply for up to 200,- EUR, and attendees travelling from outside of Europe can apply for up to 500,- EUR.  

  
To apply for the grant, researchers must register and submit an abstract (poster or talk) and send a separate email to lea.klement(at)imba.oeaw.ac.at. Please send everything as one PDF: 

  • registration confirmation [invoice] 

  • abstract [max. 300 words] 

  • cover letter [max. 1 page including a description of your research and achievements] 


The deadline to apply for a travel grant is April 22. The organizers will assess the grant applications after this deadline. Participants will be notified as soon as possible if they are selected for a grant. Attendance, receipts, and proof of payment are required to claim the grant. The travel grant will be paid by bank transfer after the Evo Worm 2024. 

  

CHILDCARE GRANTS 
To support parents attending this meeting, we have some funds to cover childcare costs incurred by participants. Eligible costs include fees for a babysitter or childcare facility, travel costs for a caregiver, or travel costs for taking the child to the meeting. To apply for a childcare grant, please provide us with a short statement of needs and a description of how the funds will be used. Please send an email to lea.klement(at)imba.oeaw.ac.at. 

The deadline to apply for a childcare grant is May 17. The organizers will assess the grant applications after this deadline.
