The book series »Veröffentlichungen zur Numismatik« publishes monographs on numismatics and monetary history. It goes back to the »Veröffentlichungen der Numismatischen Kommission« founded by Robert Göbl, which appeared from 1973 onwards, and continues their counting. The series includes publications from all fields of numismatics – without chronological, geographical or thematic restriction.

The editors of the numismatic publications are Bernhard Woytek, Nikolaus Schindel and Michael Alram from the OeAI (Department of Classical Studies). Submitted manuscripts are subjected to an international peer review process in accordance with the requirements of the OeAW publishing house.
