The series ›Untersuchungen der Zweigstelle Kairo des Österreichischen Archäologischen Institutes‹ was founded in 1975 in order to publish the results of the research and the investigations of the newly created Cairo branch of the Austrian Archaeological Institute. Most volumes published thus far deal with the long-term Austrian excavations at the site of Tell el-Dabʿa in the Eastern Nile-Delta.
The series is edited by the Austrian Archaeological Institute (OeAI) at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and coordinated by the Department of Prehistory & WANA Archaeology. All submitted manuscripts are subject to international peer-review, supervised by the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
